Peter Sigal
Senior Investment Executive - Financial Advisor
Peter has made a career in the financial services industry providing planning and investment advice to individuals and institutions for over 30 years. He began at Dean Witter Reynolds in Palo Alto, California with a degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his 24 years with the Dean Witter Morgan Stanley organization Pete directed national sales and marketing for the taxable bond division, led national sales for the CreditSource mortgage lending program, headed marketing for the Financial Institutions Group, and managed the firm’s Nashville Vanderbilt and Houston Greenway Plaza branch offices.
More recently, he was a founding member of Charles Schwab’s Executive Services Group, which provided guidance and personal financial advice to directors and executives of companies whose employee stock plans and 401k plans were administered by the firm.
Pete has been a dispute resolution arbitration panelist with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He’s a past member of the Financial Planning Association of Denver, and is nearing completion of his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) curriculum at Rice University. Pete has volunteered his time as an instructor for financial literacy programs with Junior Achievement, and he's a member of the American Association for Individual Investors (AAII).
His personal interests are in his children’s continued growth and education as undergraduates of the University of Texas - Austin and Southern Methodist University. He also enjoys traveling, running, biking, swimming, sailing, hiking, skiing, and short distance triathlons. Memorable day hikes include Half Dome peak in Yosemite National Park, Mt. Whitney (14,505'), and the Grand Canyon to Phantom Ranch.
Pete counts his volunteer time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children as one of his most heart wrenching, but fulfilling experiences. “Blessed with a safe and nurturing childhood, and having provided the same for my children, I felt I had more to give, so I reached out to this special community with more than just my checkbook.”
